EDM& TRAY Seals |
Material: EPDM rubber
Part weight: 1g For
the tests involved in the technical requirements, the samples should be taken directly from the parts for testing. If the part shape cannot be sampled, the same material as the parts should be used for testing.
1. Dimensions and tolerances
The cross-sectional shape, dimensions and tolerances, product length and tolerances of the products shall meet the requirements of the design drawings.
2. Appearance
The appearance of the sealing strip is not allowed to have defects that affect the performance and aesthetics of the product; such as impurities, bubbles, cracks, scratches, tears, lack of glue, broken skin, twisted deformation or flattened deformation,
etc.; test the sample before the test It must be placed in the standard climate of 23°C and 50% relative humidity specified in 10291 for at least 24 hours.
3. Hardness
Delivery state (23±2°C) hardness value: 50± 5 Shore A
After heat aging (100℃/96h, ISO188), the hardness change value is within the range of 05 Shore A
After heat aging (100C/504h, ISO188), the hardness change value is in the range of 0-5 Shore A
The hardness is measured according to "180 7619-1".
4. Tensile strength
Supply state (23±2℃) tensile strength: ≥ 9 MPa
Tensile strength after heat aging (100℃/96h, 150188): ≥9MPa
Tensile strength after heat aging (after completion of 100C/504h, ISD188): ≥ 9MPa Tensile
strength is measured according to "Determination of Tensile Stress-Strain Properties of Chemical Rubber or Thermoplastic Rubber No. 37".
5. Elongation at break
Elongation at break in supply state (23±2C): ≥250 %
Elongation at break after heat aging (after completion of 100°C/96h, ISD188): ≥250%
Elongation at break after heat aging (100℃/504h, 150188): ≥ 250%
The elongation at break is determined according to "1037 Determination of Tensile Stress-Strain Properties of Vulcanized Rubber or Thermoplastic Rubber".
6. Tear strength
Delivery state (23±2℃) tear strength: ≥ 12KN/m. The tear strength is measured according to "ISO34-1".
7. Compression set
According to SMTC 5 400 239
Test method for compression permanent deformation of elastomer parts "Test method B-spline uses the standard recommended size, compresses 50%, heats at 100°C for 22 hours, and the compression permanent deformation is less than or equal to 65% of the test compression.
8. Low temperature performance
According to Chapter 4.4 of "SMTC 5 320 040", after the spline is stored at -40°C for 22 hours, it is directly bent at 180°, and there is no crack on the surface.
9. Ozone aging resistance
According to the "SMTC 3 261 004 Ozone Resistance Test Specification for Elastomer Materials", when the ozone concentration is 2ppm, the test temperature is 23±2°C, and the relative air humidity is 60%, there is no crack after 46 hours of testing.
10. Brittle temperature -40℃
11. Density≤1.3g/cm3
12. FMVSS302 fire rating, maximum 100
13. The materials must meet the requirements of "SMTC5500001 Prohibited/Pre-used Hazardous Substances in Auto Parts and Materials", and the supplier must submit an ELV test report.
14. Materials must meet the requirements of "SMTC5500002 Guidelines for the Implementation of EU REACH Regulations", and suppliers must submit a REACH test report.
